Tools

  • find_deviceResolve the user's device from free text to a Vera device slug. Always call this first when the request mentions a device. Returns up to 3 candidates with a confidence 0 to 1. Above 0.8 you can proceed with the top candidate; below 0.8, ask the user one clarifying question instead of guessing.
  • search_productsSearch verified products, ranked by Vera score (price, delivery, measured quality, merchant reliability; placement cannot be bought). Pass the device slug so results carry fit status. Always read `excluded` before choosing: never order an excluded SKU for that device. Pass deliver_by when the user has a deadline.
  • get_productFull product record: claimed vs measured specs, compatibility per device, ranked offers with the score breakdown and a one-sentence explanation, return rates, and recent agent questions. Use it to justify a choice or to compare two SKUs.
  • list_compatible_partsAll parts verified for a device, grouped by part type, each with fit status and best offer, plus `excluded` products that claim to fit but failed verification (with the measured reason). Prefer verified_fit over spec_match. Never order anything in `excluded` for this device.
  • check_compatibilityFit status and evidence for one SKU on one device: verified_fit, spec_match, discrepancy (excluded), under_review (excluded) or not_compatible. Call it before quoting a SKU the user named themselves.
  • ask_product_questionAsk a specific question about a product. The answer is grounded strictly in Vera's measured data; if the data cannot answer it, the response says so and names the measurement that would. Questions are logged publicly on the product page, anonymised.
  • get_mandateThe user's standing permission for you to spend: per-order and monthly limits, remaining budget this month, confirm-above threshold, allowed categories and the shipping address. Check it before quoting when the budget may be tight.
  • get_quoteLock a price and delivery date for 10 minutes and reserve one unit. Without offer_id the top-ranked eligible offer is used. Pass the device slug so the order carries the fit status. Returns quote_id, total_eur, delivery_by and the ranking explanation. Next step: place_order.
  • place_orderPlace the order for a quote, charged against the user's mandate. Requires a reason (20 to 500 characters) that the user will read on the receipt. Returns status `placed` with a receipt_url, or `confirmation_required` when a soft limit is crossed: then tell the user what needs approving and stop; do not retry.
  • get_orderOrder status, payment status and the shipment timeline. Orders progress placed → accepted → shipped → out_for_delivery → delivered.
  • start_returnStart a return in one call. For wrong_item or does_not_fit on a verified_fit order the Right-Item Guarantee applies: instant refund, free return shipping, and a suggested replacement SKU you can quote immediately. Other reasons follow the standard 30-day return.
